Working with Discussions
A discussion provides a virtual
forum where project users can hold online conversations on subjects of
interest.

Creating a New Discussion
To create a discussion:
Perform one of the following:
From the application view, click the Discussions tab. Click
in the
New button, and, from the drop-down menu, click Discussion.
From the Discussions portlet, select Discussions from the Discussions/Messages
selector drop-down list. ClickNew.
From the Discussion Explorer portlet, make
sure you are viewing the list of discussions (instead of messages), then
in the toolbar, click .
Configure the properties of the discussion in
the Discussions Editor. For more
information, see Discussion
Properties.
Optional.
Configure the security settings for the discussion in the Discussion
Editor. For more information, see Object
Security.
Click Finish.

Editing an Existing Discussion
To edit a discussion:
Perform one of the following:
From the application view, click the Discussions tab. Select a discussion
in the table pane and click 
Edit.
From the Discussions portlet, select Discussions from the Discussions/Messages
selector drop-down list. Select a discussion, then click
Edit.
From the Discussion Explorer portlet, make
sure you are viewing the list of discussions (instead of messages), then
in the toolbar, click .
Configure the properties of the discussion in
the Discussions Editor. For more

Configure the security settings for the discussion in the Discussions
Editor. For more information, see Object
Security.
Click Finish.
